Task Description:  Today we learnt some Maori Kupu (words). Here is the task we had to do!!!

Today we learnt about cars. We learnt how to check our dipstick, making sure its clean and making sure you have oil and making sure your oil is clean. we also learnt about  wiper blades how they wipe down your windows and keep them clean. Then we learnt about the radiator and how it keeps everything cool. We learnt not to open the car hood when your cars overheated. You have tpo wait till it cools down in order for you to open it..... This meet was cool and it was fun to learn about the cars and engine....cant wait for the next one!!!

Task Description: We read a text and watched a few videos, then answered questions and wrotoe a story based of Anxiety and Bullying. This was a fun and easy task.

Inferencing Mother To Son by Langton Hughes

 

Task Description: Today we did an inferencing lesson about a poem, which my group filmed for Class onAir.  We were inferencing photos to start, and even made inferences about a picture book. Then we read a poem. The poem was called "Mother to Son" by Langston Hughes. This was about a mothers life, and how she's trying to stop his life being like hers.

Task Description: Today we started on our topic, our topic is about finding nearby planet we could live on, and possible inventions we would need to use to sustain our life on that planet.

Task Description: Today we got into groups of 4-5 and then we got given some sheets to work on. It went from easeir to harder. The photo you see was the hardest one. we struggled. but it was a fun task.

 

culture barrier

 Today we read a poem, In this poem there was a problem aka a culture barrier. There is a person named Hinewirangi, and another person. the problem is she/he doesn't know how to pronounce the name. Hinewirangi tried to teach him/her but the name was to hard. Why?. because one was maori and one was a different culture. Different culture, different accent. this means it is sometimes hard to pronounce something in that culture. After we read this poem we answered some questions, about the poem.
